How to Whitelist an Address in Gmail

Whitelist an email address in Gmail

Why Whitelist? Sometimes Gmail may block an email from someone you already trust and get regular emails from.
By whitelisting you get to set up trusted email addresses and prevent Gmail from flagging them as SPAM.

Follow these simple steps,

Step 1. Log in to your Gmail email account.

Once you are in Gmail, click the gear icon in the top right corner.

Step 2. Click on “Settings” or as seen below “all settings”.

Step 3. Click on “Filters and Blocked Addresses” as seen below.

Step 4. Click on “Create a new filter” as seen below. This is where you enter trusted email addresses to the whitelist.

Step 5. Enter the email address in the “From” field as seen below. Then click on “Create Filter”.

Step 6. Check the box beside “Never send it to Spam. Next click on “Create Filter”.

Once clicked you will get confirmation of this in your “Filters and Blocked Addresses” section. As seen below.

Congratulations. You have now created a Whitelist in Gmail.

Optional Steps  to Whitelist all emails from a domain name.

As before follow all steps listed above. This time however remove “someoneyoutrust” and input only the “@anyaddress.com”

That’s it. You’re done! Congrats.
